Love is in the air with Neighbourhood Edit x Flowwow

As champions of local enterprises with a global heart, we are very excited to announce our collaboration with gifting gurus Flowwow. We have teamed up with the marketplace, which works with local florists, patisserie chefs and makers across the world, to curate our very own collection of floral bouquets for Valentine’s Day.

Flowwow matched one of their family-run London floral partners, Floetica, with Neighbourhood Edit’s Editor-in-Chief, Amira Hashish, to create three covetable bouquets that would add a healthy dose of joy to any coffee table.

What better way to celebrate than with a night of flower power at Notting Hill’s The Walmer Castle?

Lovingly restored by husband and wife Jack and Poppy Greenall, the couple’s vision for The Walmer Castle is to honour the building’s 19th-century history and restore its charm as a traditional English tavern whilst working with the best local craftspeople and producers.

We invited our community of creatives for a night of flower arranging and fizz. Guests sipped on Pale Fox Prosecco, enjoyed delicious canapes from The Walmer Castle kitchen and soaked up the ambience of the stylish Lonsdale Room.

From the tablescape of dreams to a cosy log fire the event, produced by Rapport, sparked joy on so many levels.

Trusted by discerning names from BAFTA to pop icon Cher, Floetica is renowned for its sophisticated and elegant approach to floral design. Amira worked closely with founder Anna to create an interiors-inspired collection with an Italian palette.

Speaking of the collaboration, Amira said:

"I am so delighted with the collection we have created. I love floral arrangements that are bountiful but feel a little wilder and unpredictable. Pastels, peaches, and greens formed the base of the colour palette with muted tones,  statement blooms, the occasional pop of colour, and lots of texture adding a rustic glamour. Each of the bouquets offers something a little different but the key was to celebrate love in all its forms."

With both partners sharing a love for originality and seasonality you will notice there is not a traditional red rose in sight.

Flowwow COO Vera Modenova added: “Working with Amira on our Valentine’s collection seemed only natural since the motto of her magazine Neighbourogh Edit is For the love of local which could have easily been our motto. Sharing a passion for celebrating local craftspeople and exquisitely presented flowers, this partnership has created three covetable bouquets, each distinct and equally beautiful.”

Connecting global and local:

Flowwow has more than 11,000 local brands on its platform from 1,000 cities and operates in over 30 countries, including UAE, Spain, UK, Brazil. What connects each of the locations is a celebration of independent businesses and creators.

Florence

There might not be a hint of crimson but the warm glow of Florence emanates romance. A symphony of roses, antirrhinums, and alstroemeria in sunset shades are punctuated with sweet chamomile and chrysanthemums to complete the swoon-inducing gift.

Verde

A chic colour palette of crisp white flowers and lush green foliage always makes for a timeless combination. Playfully frilly lisianthus, bountiful Playa roses, and vibrant viburnum marry with textural dianthus, moluccella, and eucalyptus for a coffee-table-worthy gathering.

Novella

Teeming with pastel hues and sculptural silhouettes, Novella is the floral gift of choice for recipients who are something of interior mavens. Coral-hued snapdragons and roses in shades of peachy pink and sherbet lemon radiate amongst luxurious bundles of guelder rose and white lisianthus for a show-stopping combination. All it needs now is an equally dynamic vessel to complete the picture-perfect scene.
